Alternative to TeamSnap

Alternative to TeamSnap for Spanish clubs

TeamSnap works very well for clubs in US and Canada. But for a Spain-based club it's unnecessary overhead: no SEPA, USD billing, no native LOPIVI. Here is why OneClub may fit you better.

EUR-native · SEPA + card · LOPIVI · Spanish-language support

Why you are looking for an alternative

Why are you looking for an alternative to TeamSnap?

TeamSnap is a US-centric product. These are the concrete pain points Spanish clubs tell us about when switching.

  • USD billing and no native SEPA

TeamSnap invoices from the US and collects in USD. If your club invoices in EUR to Spanish families, you have to absorb currency conversion every month, USD vs EUR Stripe fees and a floating exchange rate that complicates accounting. SEPA doesn't exist as a primary flow — parents pay by card and the collection goes to the US.

  • English interface with superficial translation

TeamSnap's interface is translated to Spanish at a basic level, but many elements remain in English (transactional emails, exports, internal documentation). For families in Spain with members of all ages, this generates real friction and additional support.

  • No LOPIVI or RGPD designed for Spain

TeamSnap complies with European-level GDPR since 2018, but doesn't have a specific module for LOPIVI or management of the Negative Sex Offense Certificate for coaches with minors. Your DPO/officer has to handle it in another tool.

  • Support in US time zone, not CET

TeamSnap's primary support operates in US time. For clubs in Spain, the 6-9 hour difference means a problem reported at 9 AM gets answered at 5 PM. When you're closing season registrations, that's blocking.

It's normal to look for an alternative. TeamSnap is an excellent product in its native market (US/CA) with more than a million teams. The problem isn't TeamSnap — it's that its model is optimized for sports and currencies that aren't yours. Your club deserves a tool designed from scratch for Spain.

What OneClub does differently

What OneClub does differently

OneClub is built in Spain and for Spain. These are the four differences that matter for local clubs.

  • EUR-native with SEPA + card + Apple Pay

OneClub invoices in EUR, collections land in your Spanish bank account directly, with no currency conversion. SEPA Direct Debit as the primary flow for recurring fees; card and Apple Pay for members who prefer it. No surcharge, no exchange rate complicating accounting.

  • Top-tier Spanish interface, not translated

OneClub is designed in Spanish from scratch: copy, transactional emails, communication templates, support. It's not a superficial translation — it's thought through for how a club is managed in Spain (U8-senior categories, monthly/annual/extraordinary fees, federation, NIF on invoice).

  • Native LOPIVI and RGPD for Spanish clubs

OneClub manages LOPIVI documentation natively: child protection protocol, protection delegate, collection of the Negative Sex Offense Certificate, RGPD image consents for minors. No external documentation, aligned with current Spanish legal reality.

  • Spanish-language support in CET hours

Support team in Spain, chat and email in CET hours (9:00-18:00). Each account has an assigned onboarder for the first 30 days. When you report a problem at 9 AM, we answer in 1-2 hours, not at 5 PM. No offshoring to other time zones.

Honesty first

When you should NOT switch to OneClub

If your club operates primarily in the US or Canada, plays in North American leagues and most of your families are in American time zone, stay with TeamSnap. They've spent years polishing the product for that market, they have integrations with US federations (USA Soccer, Little League) and specific American-sport use cases that OneClub doesn't cover.

If your priority is American-style match scheduling (snake draft, divisions, playoffs format) without needing fee management, NIF invoicing or LOPIVI compliance, TeamSnap fits you better. OneClub is club-management focused on fees, Spanish fiscal compliance and family experience — not US-style tactical scheduling.

How to migrate from TeamSnap to OneClub

The process usually closes in 3-5 days. Without stopping the club.

  1. 1

    Export your data from TeamSnap

TeamSnap lets you export members, teams and events to CSV from the admin panel. Export the payment history too if you want to preserve it for your Spanish accounting. There are no SEPA mandates to migrate because TeamSnap doesn't use SEPA — members will register their IBANs when activating OneClub.

  2. 2

    Assisted importer in OneClub

You upload the CSVs to OneClub and map the columns. We help you structure your team tree by Spanish categories (U8 to senior) if TeamSnap used others. You configure fee plans in EUR, integrate NIF invoicing and open signup.

  3. 3

    Member onboarding and go-live

You send your members an email with the signup link. Parents register, choose payment method (SEPA, card or Apple Pay) and sign LOPIVI documentation. In 1-2 weeks you have the base migrated. OneClub assists with the email template and monitors signups.

We assign you a dedicated onboarder during migration. No extra cost, no annual contract. If you need us to call you before starting, write to hola@oneclubapp.com.

Clubs that switched
We inherited TeamSnap from the previous coordinator and it never fully matched: USD billing, English support, no CIF invoices. We migrated to OneClub mid-season and solved three months of accounting headaches in a week.
